“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”
―Brené Brown
A wellness advocate, is a trained nonmedical professional who provides emotional, physical, spiritual, and educational support for someone in a challenging life situation or nearing death. They help both the client and their loved ones in any way needed, such as providing companionship or emotional support, rides and ears at medical appointments, organizing legacy projects, or helping with funeral or memorial service arrangements. They make themselves available to assist an individual and their family during complex life situations.
Alicia believes the work of a Wellness Advocate is scared work. She steps in to guide and support the wishes of the person who is experiencing a challenging diagnosis or at the end of their life journey. Every individual feels comfort in different ways, whether it’s ears to listen, a medical advocate, coordination of care, legacy work, or intuitive energy work she brings light to support the individual’s wishes. Alicia will set up a phone consult to review the individual’s specific situation and together setup a flexible plan of support.
